Alessandra Zampieron


Alessandra Zampieron received a Diploma in Nursing (RN) in 1988, and then went on to receive a Degree in Nursing (BSN equivalent), a Diploma in Management and Education in Nursing, and a Specialist Degree in Nursing (MSN equivalent).

She worked in the clinical unit in Padua University Hospital for 9 years (1988-1997).

For the last ten years she has worked in basic, post-basic and permanent nursing education. Now she works for the Education and International Project Service of Azienda Ospedaliera di Padova-ULSS 16 (Italy) and is also responsible for the RN-to-BSN course in the University of Padua.

Since the Academic Year 1996-97 she has been in charge of teaching courses (Clinical Nursing, Nursing Methodoloy, Nursing Theory and Nursing Education) in the Nursing Degree of University of Padua.

Her scientific interests include research in different nursing clinical fields and in nursing education. On these topics, she has published 47 full papers in international and national journals and 23 contributions in books and conference proceedings.

She is a referee for the Journal of Renal Care, Sentinel Reader for McMaster University MORE and for the National Commission for Continuous Education (Health’s Minister).

She coordinated three research projects funded by European Dialysis and Transplantation Nurses Association, one of them on infective diseases, and she has been a member of the Research Board of this Association from 2000.
